Welcome to Spay and Save!
Spay and Save, Inc. is a non-profit organization devoted to general animal welfare and education. Our network of volunteers strives to help good people adopt healthy pets. We’re not the largest animal rescue, and we’re okay with that! We form genuine relationships with our adopters and help them find the perfect additions to their families. We stay in touch with our adopters to ensure their pets are happy and healthy, and we help them find whatever assistance and care they might need.
There is no mandatory adoption fee with our organization, but donations in any amount are always welcome and appreciated. All donations made to Spay and Save, Inc. are 100% tax deductible. Every penny of your monetary donation goes directly to veterinary services as well as food and supplies for our foster pets awaiting their forever homes.

Lily B
Lily B and her housemates were abandoned on a Norristown porch after their owner was evicted. In her current foster home Lily seeks out attention, responds to her name, and loves to snuggle. She has a few favorite sleeping nooks, loves pets and brushing, and will quietly vocalize and/or tap with her paw when she wants attention.
Lily is the PURRfect kitty for a low-key environment, she gets along with her foster partner, Chrissy, and would be fine as a solo cat. Her reaction to dogs is unknown.

Teddy
TEDDY & JOEY are devoted brothers whose story began at the elevated train station at Broad & Allegheny in North Philly. A kind passerby spotted them gently asking for food and whisked them to safety, opening the door to their second chance. Sweet, playful, and endlessly curious, these boys have been absolute angels in their foster home. They enjoy both wet and dry food, and their friendly, easygoing nature suggests they’ll do well with other cats. They have been around an occasional dog in their foster home and its thought they would do well with a slow intro. Their gentle temperaments shine through in everything they do.

Klinger
KLINGER is one of the Five "MASH" Guys (along with BJ, Radar, Hawkeye, and Potter). They are an adorable group of brothers from the streets of Strawberry Mansion North Philly. These kittens are so sweet and loving. They play together, eat together and sleep together. They purr constantly. Found on the streets of North Philly, born to a mother who delivered multiple litters until a kind rescuer brought her and the kittens to a rescue. Will you be the one to give one or more of these furballs a forever home? ONLY apply if you can commit to their 10-15 year lifetime.
Winter
Winter is a gorgeous little girl with one brown and one blue eye which makes her very unique. The young person that owned Winter did not realize the energy that huskies have and the exercise they require. Winter loves running out in her foster dad’s fenced yard and with the other small and large 4-legged children. She likes to wander around the yard listening to the birds and finding new things. Winter loves attention and to get some good rubs from her foster family. She is very food motivated which helps her with training. She is crate trained and house trained. Winter would enjoy an active family who would walk, run, and/or hike with her.

Snow White
My name is Snow White but people have been calling me Snowy. I am approximately 10 mths old. It was discovered that I am deaf and have parrot jaw so my owner felt that it was best that I go into a home that would be more suitable for me. I may not be able to hear, but I can sense when someone is coming. I am good with other dogs and don?t mind cats. I follow my foster mom around and wait outside the shower for her to finish and give me more love. I am almost completely house broken but if there is a piddle pad down, I will go on that to avoid making any mess. If you think that you have what it takes to give me a forever loving home and train me with sign language commands so I can be the bestest dog ever, then please click on the apply to adopt me link on my page. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not apply unless you are absolutely sure that you can provide me the lifelong care that I will need and deserve. This includes annual veterinary visits in addition to food, shelter and love.

Volunteer with us!
Every penny that we receive through monetary donations goes directly towards veterinary services, food and supplies for our foster pets awaiting their forever home. This model makes our volunteers so important to our efforts in finding homes for our dogs and cats. We are always in need of volunteers such as foster homes and animal transporters. Spotlight on Volunteers
Marge Haufler
MARGE HAUFLER has been a devoted volunteer for almost six years at Spay and Save. Along with her husband, Mike, she fosters and helps immensely at the President’s house with chores, supplies, loading for adoption days and socializing the cats. There is not a surface Marge misses. She is a wonder! We thank her for her many donations and efforts on behalf of Chris and the kitties!
Jenn Weiner
JENN WEINER has been with our Dog Division for five years. She has faithfully walked and given comfort to our homeless dogs in our Blue Bell location and when possible, brought these dogs to adoption events. Along with her husband, Glenn and children, Emily and Jake, Jenn loves and cares for her own rescue hound/beagle, Sage (pictured here) who came from South Carolina. Jenn is a licensed Professional Counselor who has been working at the Hill at Whitemarsh for ten years. We thank Jenn for her dedication over the years and hope she will continue to serve our organization for many years.
